Carrie Underwood and B.o.B aren’t the only artists who dropped new albums on May 1. Genre-bending singer/ songwriter, Santigold released her sophomore album — Master of My Make-Believe in the states after a four year absence. Although the Philly native doesn’t have a promotional campaign as extensive as Bobby Ray and Underwood, she did stop by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Monday night (5/1) to perform her latest single, “Disparate Youth.”
Santigold is currently on a headlining tour across the country after ending her opening stint for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. See the remaining dates and watch the performance below the break.

Read more...A. Wolf & Her Claws, fronted by Minnesotan songstress Aby Wolf released their first, self-titled album today. Her Claws is made up of Joe Van Phillips on drums and vibraphone, Linnea Mohn on keyboard/vocals, and synthesist/programmer Jesse Whitney. The quartet tackles heavy synth and electronic sounds supporting intricate vocal harmonies — ranging from dance songs to calm and blissful tunes.

Originally put together on The X-Factor UK in 2010, the five solo acts teamed up to become one of the hottest boybands to emerge in recent years.
After making history last month, they now are being sued for trademark infringement by a small California pop-rock group of the same name.

Roc Nation princess Rita Ora and Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean have been enlisted to join Coldplay on the European leg of their world tour. Ora and Ocean will join Swedish dance queen Robyn and Marina & the Diamonds, who will be at various tour dates throughout.
Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto Tour starts in May and runs all the way until September. This is a great opportunity for both acts as they will be exposed to large audiences who may otherwise have never listened to their music.
