Machina Muerte frontman, Isaiah Toothtaker and incarcerated rapper, Max B have released a new tape called Toothy Wavy. In perhaps one of the most interesting moves done for an album, Max B recorded all of his verses through the phone at the prison he’s incarcerated in. The low quality prison phone recordings along with Toothtaker’s mixed vocals adds a unique blend to the tape. Download and listen to the six-song tape for free.
A. Wolf & Her Claws, fronted by Minnesotan songstress Aby Wolf released their first, self-titled album today. Her Claws is made up of Joe Van Phillips on drums and vibraphone, Linnea Mohn on keyboard/vocals, and synthesist/programmer Jesse Whitney. The quartet tackles heavy synth and electronic sounds supporting intricate vocal harmonies — ranging from dance songs to calm and blissful tunes.
Spinner has the entire album up and streaming. Like what you hear? Support the artists: iTunes, Amazon, Electric Fetus (MPLS).
