The tennis superstar recorded a few track last year in Florida — according to TMZ — and now a snippet of an untitled song has emerged. On the upbeat track, Williams drops such jewels as — “on the court I serve em up. No subpoena. I cook the track up like a frozen pizza.” Do I smell a Digiorno endorsement deal?

Pop giant, Justin Bieber released a Mother’s Day dedication to his mother, Pattie Mallette, to honor her for raising him as a single mom. The song is now on iTunes and proceeds benefit the Bethesda Centre Women’s Shelter for single moms, which may be shut down soon due to low funds. The centre was where Bieber’s mother took refuge as a teen and needs $1.5 million by June to stay open.

Pop/ R&B superstar, Chris Brown stopped by Dancing with the Stars last evening for an energetic performance of his single, ‘Turn Up The Music.’ Backed by a troupe of dancers, the ‘Run It‘ singer worked the stage like none other in a performance full of great choreography and yes, lip-syncing.

 Chris’ energy was great and I enjoyed the dancing, but I’m still baffled at this current promo strategy. While I understand why he performed the dance track on the show, what is going on with ‘Till I Die,‘ and ‘Sweet Love?’ Those two songs are under-performing and need to be pushed as well. I’m glad that Fortune was pushed back until, but Chris’ team needs to get organized, and quickly before he has two flops on his hands and his buzz leading to July is gone.

VH1 Divas will honor the legacy of music legend and icon, Whitney Houston at this years Divas special. After losing The Voice in February, the show has decided to pay tribute to the greatest diva of all in a two hour special due to air live in December.

The special will be produced by Houston’s former musical director, Rickey Minor, who worked and toured with Houston for over 20 years.

VH1 will pay tribute to Whitney Houston for its next installment of  VH1 Divas, Billboard has learned. The network will tape the performance in Los Angeles in December, with Houston’s longtime musical director Rickey Minor on board as executive producer. No artists have been confirmed for the tribute to Houston, a three-time performer on “Divas” in 1999, 2002 and 2003.

The tribute has already received the blessing of Houston’s family and her label partners at Sony. “We all felt that if any show could pay tribute to Whitney’s music, it would be ‘Divas,’” VH1 president Tom Calderone tells Billboard. “December felt like enough time where it wouldn’t be sad anymore, you’d want to celebrate her music.” — Read more.

I am excited that VH1 has decided to pay homage to a trailblazer who changed the face of pop music and set the standard for what it truly means to be a vocalist. I want VH1 to go all out and make this the best that it can possibly be by enlisting a great group of singers to do Nippy justice including: Mariah Carey, Kim Burrell, CeCe Winans, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Tamia, Kelly Price, Aretha Franklin, Kelly Clarkson, Amber Riley, Celine Dion, Jessie J and Patti Labelle.

Since Houston’s legacy crossed a number of formats and charts, I’d like VH1 to acknowledge her pop/ dance/ gospel, and R&B influences. They should also highlight her musical accomplishments with a montage, and also have video packages from artists who were inspired by her.
