MTV’s annual hottest MC list was released and we have the choices here. The criteria is based off of impact, lyrical ability, buzz and commercial success. Rick Ross topped the list, while hip-hop heavy weights Jay-Z placed at #6 and Kanye West placed at #3, respectively. Young Money rappers Drake (2), Nicki Minaj (4) and Lil Wayne (5) also placed within the top 5.

I’m not the biggest hip-hop head, but I definitely don’t think that Rick Ross should’ve placed #1. I also think that J. Cole is notably absent from the list. What are your thoughts?
